TerraVenturia is quite unusual for an unusual night ...
Therefore we have shortlisted all the specific questions you may have in order for you to have a clear view of what you might expect from this experience
Defcamp Room
1. Do we really drive with the car ?
Yes you do. You will drive a Land Rover Santana 109 built in 1980. Don't be scared the parcour is for everybody. but you must hold a valid driving licence.
Natura Pirsch Room
1. Do we really sleep into a bunker ?
Yes it's a very true WWII's bunker from belgian army.
However you may have the choice to sleep either in the bunker or in the room we build close to the bunker and with a view on the nature.
2. How do we get to the bunker ?
2. May I drive out of the property ?
No, the car is specifically insured to be driven only on the property. We 've also put a GPS tracer to be sure nobody drives out of the property.
We propose 2 possible walks to get from castle's parking to your room.
The blue one - 15min
The yellow one - 30 min
Trees are marked with colored spots, you just have to follow them.
It is not allowed to get to the bunker with your car
3. May we camp where we want ?
Even if the property is very large, we have decided to put the camp site on one single place for different good reasons :
1. The toilets ... better to have them not too far from the car
2. You will stay on a Natura 2000 site. To have multiple
camp sites will not contribute to preserve this environment
4. Is there anything specific I need to know about the car or something else ?
3. Is there heating water, electricity ?
The bunker is totally autonomous. Meaning we have no connection to water, electrical or gas network.
A solar pannel connected to a supply battery allow you to have electricity and light.
A simple 20L water can is there allowing you wash you hands or teeth but there is no shower
Dry toilets are in the bunker as well.
In the cold season we supply the rooms with a gas heater.
Yes of course, a few details, but no worries, we have gathered all the details in a roadbook you'll find in the car. You are requested to read a few important information under more how to start or turn off the car.
General Questions
Is TerraVenturia child friendly ?
Yes it is !.
The Defcamp room is however dedicated for a 2 person stand. Meaning Father/mother can come with one child.
The Natura Pirsch room is more dedicated to families with a parent room and a room with 2 beds into the bunker for children (or for another couple of friends.)
May I bring my dog with me ?
We do love dogs very much but unfortunately they will have to stay at home this night. There is some wild living in the wood and dogs do frighten them.
Defcamp : Dogs can not sleep in the car either.
Natura Pirsch : Carpet on the ground and mud on the woods ... also not compatible with dogs.
Is there any material supplied ?
We have supplied the car / bunker with everything you may need
- cooler
- material trunk
- bed & sheets
- lights
- backup battery
- table & chairs
- water reserve
- awning
- etc
Do we have to order our diner at TerraVenturia ?
We propose you a full bbq to cook on the fire. (Apetizer and diner but also wine, champagne, beer, or soft ). We supply at local butcher, bakery, wine shop etc
But you are free to bring your own food with you.
The breakfast is always included
Ho gosch ... I forgot something in my car !
Once you have set the car and your camp, we ask not to ride with the car anymore until the end of your stay.
But no worries, you are only 10 minutes walk from the castle This is almost the same walk from the bunker
May I make a fire?
What would be a night in the woods if you can't make a fire ? So, yes, with Defcamp there is a fire pit to make a fire and even cook your food if you like .
At Antura Pirsch their is a fire pit to warm you up but you will cook with a gas BBQ
Again, due to the Natura 2000 environment, you will only have to make the fire in the pit and not on the ground.
And for evident safety reasons, if it's dry season or to windy, we do have the right to forbid the fire and we will provide you with a gas bbq
